Children will be given 100 Legos, some guidelines and then have one hour to build something construction-related at the annual "Block Kids Building Contest." Reservations are required for this 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 11 event that is free for kids in first through sixth grades.

Contestants will be judged by grade. The overall winner will receive a savings bond and his or her building project will be sent on to the regional level for judging. If the project wins at the regional level, it will be submitted to the national level. Omaha has had three national winners in the past 10 years.
