On Saturday, September 18, 2010, the Steamfitters & Plumbers Local 464 will be hosting their annual "Heat's On" project.  The program consists of servicing heating and air conditioning equipment for underprivileged and elderly residents who reside in the Omaha - Council Bluffs area.  The goal is to service between 100 to 150 houses this year.

This is the 23rd year of the project in Omaha and the 12th year in Lincoln.  Several awards have been received for this program.  The program's purpose is to provide LU 464 members with a chance to give something back to the community that has been so good to them over the years.

Everyone will meet at the Steamfitters & plumbers Local 464 Union Hall, 13505 B Street at 8:00 am for a pancake and sausage breakfast.  The Local 464 members, student chapter members and apprentices will then leave for their assignments at 9:00 am.
